Greater Camden Partnership has merged with Coopers Ferry Development Association to form Cooper’s Ferry Partnership,  a new city-wide economic development corporation.  Please visit www.coopersferry.com to learn more.

Since 2005, the Camden Special Services District's mission includes:

  • Improving the appearance of a Downtown District that serves more than 200 businesses, 9,000 students, 1,500 residents, and 3 million visitors
  • Providing Clean and Safe Services that use local labor to perform neccessary cleaning and maintenance of Downtown
  • Creating special events in the Downtown and Waterfront areas
  • Bridging the gap between the municipal entities, local businesses and anchor institutions & attractions into a cooperative and successful Downtown

The Wells Fargo regional foundation will give Cooper's Ferry Development Association $748,000 to jump- start projects in North Camden. This, along with a second grant totaling $998,000, will be used to help housing and three Camden neighborhoods.

Wells Fargo grants to help Camden

At the annual meeting, Mayor Redd outlined the plans for a formation of a team that will focus on economic policy and expedited development approvals to make Camden more business-friendly. The new Business Growth and Development Team will operate under the Mayor's Office, and according to city spokesman Robert Corrales, will be a "one-stop shop" for businesses.
