The Greater Camden Partnership

Creating public/private partnerships to revitalize the City of Camden

Formed in 2001 by Bishop Nicholas DiMarzo and philanthropist Lewis Katz, the GCP is the leading organization in the region bringing together leaders from the private, public and non-profit sectors to promote the revitalization of Camden through joint public/private ventures.

The GCP has played a critical role in many of the most prominent economic development efforts in the city over the past seven years.  It continues this work with a focus in three specific areas:

The GCP is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of more than thirty community leaders, representing Camden’s leading private, non-profit and public-sector institutions.  The GCP is funded through a combination of grants, fee for service projects, and voluntary contributions from Camden’s leading corporate and non-profit institutions.  David Foster is the GCP’s President and CEO.  Stephen Dragos serves as the Senior Advisor for Development.
