President & CEO

 

David Foster is the President and CEO of the Greater Camden Partnership.

 

He previously practiced law as an attorney in the Philadelphia office of Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP, where his practice included all aspects of real estate development and investment.

 

Prior to practicing law, David was a commercial real estate development associate with the Hutchison Whampoa Property Group in Shanghai, China. His projects included the development of a 2.1 million square foot mixed-use retail, hotel, and office complex and the update of a 750,000 square foot shopping mall. He also served for four years as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division.

 

David received his B.A. from Washington and Lee University and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He also holds a Certificate in Business and Public Policy from the Wharton School. After law school, he was selected as a Henry Luce Scholar.

 

David has spoken and written on topics related to urban and international development in a variety of media, including the ABA's Urban Lawyer law journal, the Zell Lurie Real Estate Center Working Papers Series, and The Big Money Show on The Big Talker 1210 AM.

 

He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bar Associations, Downtown New Jersey, and the International Downtown Association.
